Love this place, even when I don't have much time. I can call them up and order to go. The service is excellent and the food it too. The place is delightfully decorated The Grant location is small but they can still take good care of you inside or out on the patio.

This was the best Mexican food that we’ve ever had. The taste, presentation, and ambience was outstanding! Our waiter ‘Jesus’ was superb in serving us. We highly recommend this place if you want authentic Mexican food.

Amelia’s is a cozy neighborhood gem with incredible food and friendly service. We shared the chilaquiles with green sauce, added carne asada and two over-medium eggs — and it was honestly one of the best chilaquiles dishes we’ve had. Perfect sauce ratio, great flavor! We ordered a single pancake — light, fluffy, and the perfect sweet finish. Our server Jesus was great! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced — amazing value for the quality. The space is small (under 10 tables inside patio), so reservations through Yelp or OpenTable are a smart move. We’ll definitely be back.

Food is very tasty and presented in a delicate way to highlight the dishes. Small bites but a welcomed change from large plates of heavy Mexican food. We ordered the three street taco plate, which was great and the chile relleno was outstanding. Also tried the quesabirria which is basically a “French dip” taco. All of the food was tasty and memorable. Place is small and very popular with little parking. Suggest you arrive early or expect a long wait.

This place is delicious! I got the shrimp ceviche and my husband got the birria chilequiles. So fresh and so yummy! Huge portions and reasonably priced. The service was a little slow and inattentive but overall I recommend this place. The margarita was very delicious! The restaurant is small, so make reservations if you can. Highly recommend!

If you’re in Tucson and love birria, Amelia’s is an absolute must-visit. We stopped by after hearing great things, and every bit of praise was completely deserved. We started with the birria tacos, and they were out of this world — perfectly crispy on the outside, packed with rich, flavorful meat, and incredibly satisfying. They were so good, we couldn’t resist ordering another round! The mini chimis were another standout: crunchy, well-seasoned, and bite-sized, making them the perfect appetizer. We also tried the birria ramen, which was hearty, flavorful, and a fun twist on traditional birria dishes. The margaritas were fantastic — super fresh, not overly sweet, and generously sized. To top it all off, we finished with the chocoflan, which was decadent yet light, the perfect way to end such a flavorful meal. Beyond the food, the service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and genuine. The entire atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, and the pricing is very reasonable for the high quality you’re getting. Overall, Amelia’s nails it on every front — food, drinks, service, and value. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly delicious and memorable dining experience in Tucson.
